Baby’s Breath Gypsophila: Variety, Use & Care Tips

Read Time:1 Minute, 59 Second

Gypsophila Paniculata commonly known as Baby’s breath is one of my most favorite filler flowers. These tiny little delicate clusters of white flowers are just divine and add grace, purity, and add freshness to any arrangements and have a childlike innocence. Traditionally, Gypsophila is used as filler flowers by the florist but due to its attractiveness and ability to transform any place and arrangement, they are now used as focal flowers or main flowers for many wedding arrangements and hand-tied bouquet. Gypsophila has a long vase life, they can be used as dry flowers too. Gypsophila is normally found in white and hues of light pink, they can be tinted any colors as per the theme of any event.

Originally from Eastern Europe, they are found in, Africa, Australia, and the Pacific Islands and other parts of the world too. Gypsophila is commercially cultivated in the open field and Greenhouse and viably used in floristry.

There are many varieties of Gypsophila available. The significant difference is the head size of the flowers which varies anywhere between 5 mm to 1 cm for smaller head variety and big head variety respectively.
